Hokkaido, Japan – February 19, 2025 – Hokkaido University has officially joined the IPHatch® program in collaboration with Panasonic, marking a significant milestone in fostering innovation and empowering startups with cutting-edge intellectual property (IP). This strategic partnership aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry, driving technological advancement and entrepreneurial growth in Japan and across Asia.
The IPHatch® program, renowned for its unique approach to open innovation, connects startups with valuable IP portfolios from leading multinational corporations. By joining the program, Hokkaido University will provide startups in Japan and globally with access to its advanced patents and exceptional opportunities to commercialise their inventions, collaborate with industry leaders, and scale their businesses internationally.
